| Reviewer: Sara M. '07 Snow Treasure takes place in
a small village in Norway where nine million dollars in gold is hidden.
Nazis parachute into this peaceful village in 1940. Peter
Lundstrom, the main character, has an uncle from America. His uncle thinks up a risky plan
to get the gold out of Norway and the Nazis clutches. The children are to take four
blocks of gold on their sleds and sled down the mountain. The Nazis would never suspect
children. When the children get to the bottom of the mountain, they are supposed to bury
their gold, then build a snowman over it. Then, Peters uncle, hiding in a cleverly
disguised ship, will find the snowmen and take the gold. Something goes wrong, though.
Will the gold be safe? Read Snow Treasure to find
out!
