This is a true story about a Hungarian family who survives the Holocaust but terrible things happen. My favorite part in this book is at the end when everyone finally comes home and lives a happy life. 

Right in the beginning of WWII, Bandi, the main character, always gets made fun of because he has to wear the Star of David on any clothing he has on.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about World War II, and to someone who likes sad and exciting books.
