| Summer Pony is about a
girl named Ginny who wanted a pony to rent for the summer. Ginny went to the Sweetbriar
Pony Farm. Mr. Dobbs, the owner, didn't take very good care of his ponies. They all looked
shabby, thin, and were covered with mud. Ginny became very attached to Mokey, the pony she
rented. Together with Pam, a new friend, Ginny cared for Mokey and rode her. At the end of
the summer, Ginny didn't want to send Mokey back to that horrible farm. Will Ginny keep
Mokey? Will she continue her friendship with Pam? I
think Summer Pony is a good book to read because it is about friendship and caring.
I recommend Summer Pony to anyone who likes books about horses.
