This story is about
a boy named Bradley Chalkers and Jeff Fishkin. Bradley always
gets in trouble at school, so he spends a lot of time with
the school guidance counselor, Carla Davis. Jeff tries to
be friends with Bradley, but Bradley only wants to be left
alone. His only friends are his wooden animals, and he talks
to them all the time. Bradley finally agrees to be friends
with Jeff, but their friendship changes when Melinda gives
Bradley a black eye. Everyone thinks that Jeff was responsible
for the black eye. This makes Jeff popular with all the kids
in school, because they don't like Bradley. Everything changes
for Bradley when he proves that he can play basketball. Carla
is transferred to another school, and Bradley is very upset.
To find out what happens to Bradley you will have to read
this book.
This book is very funny, but it can is also sad. It is the
type of book that once you start reading it you want to continue
to reading until you reach the end.
