Title:  Tiger Woods:  an American Classic
Author:  Nicholas Edwards
Reviewer:   Andrew S. '10
Tiger Woods was born on December 30, 1975, in Cypress California.  His father was a Green Beret in the Army, and his mom was a secretary from Thailand.  When Tiger first learned how to play golf he was only 3 years old.

When Tiger was first playing tournaments he was only five years old.  He won his first big tournament was when he won the U.S. Junior Amateur Champion when he was 15 years old.  In 1994, when Tiger was going to Stanford for his year of college, he won the U.S. Amateur Championship, then he won it for three straight years.  Tiger was on the golf team at Stanford and clearly he was the best on the team.  Later on, when Tiger was at college the NCAA was suspending him for no good reason, and Tiger and his family got really angry. When Tiger was still in college the P.G.A said he could play in the Masters tournament.  Even though he didn't win, he still had a good time.  When Tiger won his first major he was 22 years old.  He won the Masters, in Augusta, Georgia.  A lot of people think that Tiger is the greatest golfer in the world, and I think it is true.

The book also has golf etiquette, and almost all of Tiger Woods'stats. I recommend this book to people who like sports biographies.
