| People say the Titantic is the
safest ship ever built. But they are wrong. On April 10,1912, the Titanic sets
sail for New York. As the crowd waves goodbye, none of the people on board
know what disaster is coming. The gigantic ship is the size of four city blocks.
Scientists say that the Titanic is impossible to sink, but they are wrong. On
April 14,1912, the unsinkable Titanic sinks and only 1,100 people, out of the
2,227 on board, survive. Spring 2002 |
