This
book is about a professor at Brandeis University, Morrie Schwartz, and a sports writer,
Mitch Albom, who wrote this book. At Brandeis University Morrie taught the lessons of life
and this book is about the last months of Morries life.
At his graduation Mitch promised Morrie he would keep in touch, but he didnt.
Sixteen years later, Mitch is a sports writer. In 1995, Mitch saw Morrie on Nightline
being interviewed by Ted Koppel. Morrie was talking about a fatal disease he had, ALS,
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrigs disease. So Mitch decided to go to West
Newton, Massachusetts to visit Morrie.
Morrie had this disease for a while and it made his muscles stop working, By the time
Mitch arrived, Morrie was in a wheelchair. Since Morrie and Mitch had always seen each
other in college on Tuesdays for classes, they started talking every Tuesday about the
meaning of life. I recommend this book to anyone who doesnt mind sad books. It was a
good book.
