The Violet Tree is about a rooster named Tico, who is just learning to crow the hours when he is taken away against his will to become a fighting rooster. After becoming the champion, he runs away with the help of a female, Tinya. Befriending a horse named Adul, they travel to a place with a single tree, but learn that the tree has a secret-a big one.
