School has gotten even stranger! You will enjoy many funny stories
about the teachers and the students of Wayside school. Classrooms are
throwing computers and pencil sharpeners out the window, and there are
cows running around in the building!! There is even a teacher
who has an ear in the top of her head, and she can hear what you are
thinking. If you like books by the author of
Holes (Louis Sachar) you will enjoy
Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger.

I read the book Wayside School gets a Little
Stranger by Louis Sachar. After 243 days of closing because of
cows Wayside school has re-opened! The children in Mrs. Jewl's class are
especially happy because Mrs. Jewls is the nicest teacher. But now she
is having a baby and must leave for a little while. It ends up that all
three substitute teachers that the school hires create problems. Mr.
Goff, the teacher that takes kids voices using his nostril, Mrs. Drazil,
a teacher with a mysterious old blue notebook, and Miss Nogard, a
teacher with a third ear that is on top of her head! These teachers each
have something that makes their time at Wayside school different than
any teacher's time before.
Read the book to find out all the exciting
problems. I recommend this book to people who like fun, suspenseful
books. I don't recommend this book to people who only like to read about
things that could happen in real life.

| Reviewer: Tyler R. '09 Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger is a collection of funny
stories about a class on the 30th floor of Wayside School. At last the school is open
after 243 days of being closed. A student named Damon discovers something different about
their teacher, Mrs. Jewls, but he can't figure out what it is. Finally, Mrs. Jewls tells
the class that she is pregnant and will be out of school for a few months. The story gets
really interesting when the substitutes arrive. And they are not your average substitutes.
Something about them gives a lot of the children chills. That's all for now,
but if you are interested and want to learn more, read the book!
