The Wings of Merlin is about how young Merlin, the future wizard, has to save the magical island of Fincayra from being overcome by the evil spirits from the other world. The other world and Fincayra get so close there is a gateway that leads the other world to Fincayra. Merlin is called upon by Dagda, the good spirit of the other world, to help gather an army of all of Fincayra’s people and creatures in just two weeks. The hardest part of getting the army together is that most of the creatures in Fincayra hate the humans. During the process of raising the army, Merlin encounters a bully from his past that he never thought he would see again. The bully’s goal is to kill all of the children of Fincayra and cost Merlin a lot of time.

This is the last book of The Lost Years of Merlin series. If I had to rate it, it would be a 10 out of 10. Read The Wings of Merlin to find out what happens to Merlin and Fincayra.

Spring 2005

In the fifth and final book of the series, things really heat up! In this book Merlin has to unite island inhabitants for a final showdown with Rhita Gawr, the evil warlord of the spirit world. Merlin must also  battle the mysterious Sword Arms, who really has swords for arms! Swords Arms also has the power to throw any spell back at Merlin! Can Merlin really unite the island inhabitants before winter's longest night? Can he also regain the lost wings of his people? Will he ever find out his true name?
