The book Winter
of the Ice Wizard is a great book. The book begins with
Jack and Annie making Christmas cookies with their mom. Their
mom reminds them that it is the Winter Solstice. When they
hear this, they decide to take a break and go outside. Last
year on the Winter Solstice Jack and Annie were sent on their
first ever Merlin Mission, and they hope it will happen again.
Sure enough, when they get to Frog Creek Woods they see that
the tree house has indeed come back. Jack and Annie see something
that makes their hearts stand still. Two people are running
as fast as they can towards the tree house. By the time Jack
gets to the bottom of the ladder, the two people are inside!
Jack yells for the two people to get out of their tree house.
Guess who sticks their heads out? Teddy and Kathleen! They
tell Jack and Annie that they have another message from Merlin.
The message is that he has lost his staff of strength, and
he needs Jack and Annie to go find it for him.
I would love to
tell you more, but you will have to read the book to find
out what happens next.
