| Reviewer: Kaye L. '07 I read the book the Winter Room by Gary Paulsen. There
were three main characters: Eldon, Eldon’s older brother (Wayne) and Uncle David.
This family lives on a farm. Each chapter is a new season and in that chapter it tells
about what they do on the farm in that season. Eldon is a very sweet kid, he respects
every living creature on earth. Wayne isn’t as respectful. Uncle David is an
entertainer to the family. Each night he tells a story around the fire. Whenever Wayne
hears a new story, it becomes real in his mind.
I would recommend this book to students who like a good
adventure story.
