Addy and her mother know that it will be hard to have Christmas without her brother and father. Addy spots a nice red scarf and wants to save up and get it for her mother, but her mother needs money to buy a lamp so she can see her sewing. Addy put her money in the box for saving for the lamp. For Christmas, Addy gets a nice Christmas dress from Mrs. Ford, her mom’s boss. She gets a doll from her mother. They go to church and her father walks in. Addy jumps up and hugs him. The three of them go home and Addy and her mother think it is such a surprise that father is with them.
