| Reviewer: Alexandra B . '07 I like The Ancient One because it is about time traveling
and saving a natural area, The Lost Crater. A teenager, named Kate, goes to visit her
great aunt and finds out about a crater that has not been populated for centuries.
Recently, her town discovered it and some lumbermen want to cut the crater’s trees
down. Kate and her aunt go into the crater to stop the destruction. Kate is thrown into a
time zone and finds herself in the crater.
Anyone who thinks conservation is important will enjoy
this book.
