Lightning’s Last Hope is about Ashleigh’s family and her best friend, Mona. One sunny afternoon Mona and Ashleigh decide to go for a ride on their horses. When they were riding the two girls get lost! While they are trying to find their way back home, they come across an old run-down barn with a horse that the girls name Lightning. Lightning has been beaten and almost starved to death by her owner. The girls desperately try to help Lightning because they are both horse levers and they can’t stand to see this poor mare suffering. You will have to read the book to find out if they can rescue Lightning.
