Anna Sewell did a good job writing this book, using very descriptive words and adjectives. I think it is a perfect book for our age group. It ís about the life of a horse called Black Beauty. He has more than one name from being passed to so many stalls. It is the story of the emotions Black Beauty went through and a horse's point of view about everything. He meets friends, like Ginger and Merrylegs, at his second home, Birtwick. It really teaches you how hard a working animal's life can be.

I would definitely recommend this book to every horse lover out there. I also recommend this book to any readers who like adventure and drama and to animal lovers.

Black Beauty is an awesome book. It is about a horse, Black Beauty, and how tough his life is. He moves to many different stables because he is sold several times. He is also mistreated- some leave him out in the cold, some whip him, some give him a choke collar, and another owner pulls his head back too high. That part of the story is sad.

I would recommend Black Beauty to anyone who is in the mood for a good, sad story. I think, on a scale from one to ten, I would rate Black Beauty as an eight. It is written well, has lots of details and it make me feel like I am in the story.
