Borrowers by Mary Norton is about little people who borrow from humans. The Borrowers
live in every house. When Arrietty goes to borrow something, a boy finds her and he wants
to know about her and if there are any more like her. After he talks to her, he lets her
go. Arrietty decides that borrowing is not that great even though they are now friends.
The boy helps Arrietty and her family by giving them things from a doll house that they
need. The boys parents see him giving the Borrowers items and call the exterminator
to get rid of them. If you want to find out what happens to the Borrowers, read the book.
I liked reading the book because it was about friendship and getting to know people
before judging them.

| Reviewer: Kim B. '06 The Borrowers is about a family of little people who
"borrow" things and use them for their little home which is under the floor
boards. They get discovered by the boy of the house. The boy was going to move, so he took
the borrowers with him. Something happens during the move to separate the family.
Read The Borrowers because it is a funny and fanciful book.
