main characters are Daren, who is insulting and rude; Lou, who is supposed to be a great
basketball player though he is not playing as well as he should be; and Lynn, who is
Daren’s best friend.
In Center Court String Daren and Lou play for the same
basketball team and argue a lot. When Daren gets a technical foul near the end of the
game, everyone starts criticizing him. Daren criticizes Louis, and everyone on the team
starts acting mean to each other. There are lots of problems in Center Court String
and they all do get answered. To find out how the problems get solved, you should read
this book.
I thought that Center Court String was
suspenseful because it had so many problems all leading up to one exciting climax. I
recommend this book to students who like sports books. If that sounds like you, then you
should pick up this enjoyable story today.
