| Reviewer: Kristen G. '07 In the beginning of the story, Cleopatra describes her days as a
princess; however, her father, Ptolemy XII, is not well liked by his people. Eventually,
he is driven out of the country and takes his daughter, Cleopatra, with him. While he is
gone, Cleopatras sisters become the rulers. Queen Fryphanena, Cleopatras
sister, sends a warning to them in Rome. The note states that if either of them return to
Egypt, they will be executed.
What will Cleopatra do? Find out by reading Daughter
of the Nile.
