In the book Encounter at Easton it is the year 1768, eight years before the
start of the American Revolution. A school-aged boy, Robert, and Elizabeth, his friend,
are run-away servants trying to find work in Easton, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth’s arm is
badly hurt so Robert has to do everything he can to save her. Robert meets two people who
might be able to help him: a friendly man named Nathaniel Hill and a woman, known as
"wild woman," who lives in the woods. Who should he
