Title: The House with the Clock in its Walls
Author:  John Bellairs
Reviewer:  Eric B. '06

The House With the Clock in Its Wall is about a kid named Louis whose parents die. He is sent to live with his Uncle Jonathan who is a warlock. For a long time Uncle Jonathan has heard the sound of a clock in every wall in Jonathan’s house. A popular kid, Tarby, started teaching Louis how to play. They became friends soon. But after a while, Tarby and Louis started not to get along as well. To keep Tarby as a friend, Louis said he could raise people from the dead. So on Halloween night, at twelve, they meet in the cemetery to raise a person that they don’t know at all.

I decided to read this book because I have already read two other mysteries by the same author. I like the way he writes his stories and I thought it was a good book.
