I read Island Of The Blue Dolphins by Scott O’dell. It was my first super reader book. It was an amazing book and I never got bored with it.

The book is about a girl named Won-a-pa-lei and her secret name is Karana. She lives in a village called Ghalasat where her father is chief. It was just a regular day when a ship arrived at the island. The people on the ship were called the Aleunts. They killed many people from Ghalasat including Karana’s father. Soon after that another ship came and took the whole away. But this ship forgets two people. Karana and her brother Ramo are left behind.

Find out how Karana and Ramo survive on the island with a wild pack of dogs trying to kill them.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is about a girl who lives with her tribe on an island. Sailors come and help her tribe leave the island for a safer place. Her brother is left on the island. She jumps off the ship to stay on the island with him.

She decides to make a home for them. It is hard for her because she has to find a spot where the wild dogs won’t get them. The book explores her adventures with the animals and how she lives on the island with them.

I would recommend Island of the Blue Dolphins to a person who likes reading adventures about children. I liked the book because it gave a lot of details about how the main character survived through tough situations.
