| Reviewer: Ian H. '09 This is the last book in the Chronicles of Narnia. Magical
fantasy animals live in a totally different world called Narnia. It is protected by
Aslan, a huge lion. A donkey and an ape dress up as Aslan and everyone in Narnia thinks
that they really are Aslan. Everyone does what they tell them to do. With this ape
in control, some really bad things happen. Most of the characters from previous books come
back in this one. This is a wonderful book and it reminds me of Harry Potter,
but with more exciting parts.

Narnia is an enchanted world, full of dwarfs, talking animals, and centaurs. The Unicorn
of the king says that humans come to Narnia whenever there is trouble. Aslan is a lion,
worshipped by the inhabitants of Narnia. In this book, a false Aslan is creating havoc.
Two old human friends, Jill and Eustace, are transported to Narnia. Can they help save
this world? Shift, a clever old ape, is directing the false Aslan. Shift lives in an
unexplored area beyond the Lantern Waste. Shift and the last of the great kings of Narnia,
Tirian are fighting the last battle for control of Narnia. Will Shift win or will
he lose? Read the book to find out. 11/20/98 |
