| Reviewer: Casey P. '07 Little
by Little is an autobiography. It tells all about Jean Littles life and how she
became a writer. Life is hard for her because she was almost blinded when she was born,
and nothing could improve her condition. When she reads, she has to hold the book so close
to her face that her nose touches the pages! Through most of her life, she has no friends
because she was "cross-eyed." In the book, she shares all her feelings and
emotions - from her first trip to the library where she discovers that there is a world of
books waiting to be read; to graduating from university when no one thought she could; to
the day when her father died, a day of grief and mourning.
This is a good book to read if youve ever thought
about giving up on anything, because its a story about someones life, and
through all the pain and teasing they never give up.
