One day a boy named Digory meets a girl named Poly in her garden.  They begin to talk and soon enough become good friends.  Poly lives a couple houses down from Digory's.  Poly invites Digory into her house.  They go into the attic of the house and through the vent in it.  After ten minutes or so they see light.  It is a room!  Going in silently they hear a noise, a person, maybe?  Guess what it is:  Digory's dreaded Uncle Andrew!  He sees them and keeps his eye especially on Poly.  Uncle Andrew asks Poly if she wants a yellow ring.  Poly regrettably accepts.  She puts it on and "poof," she is gone!  Uncle Andrew tells  Digory about the rings he is  working on that can transport you to another dimension!  Digory finds out that the yellows transport you and the greens brings you back.  Digory and Poly will soon find out about the land of Narnia.

I enjoyed reading this book because once I started it I really got into the book and couldn't stop.  As I read each page I pictured the scenes they were creating.  I hope that if you decide to read the book you will like it as much as I did.

The Magician’s Nephew by C.S.Lewis  is about a girl named Polly and and her neighbor Digory.  Digory’s Uncle Andrew makes magic rings.  Each ring has the power to send the wearer to different worlds.  One world is Narnia.  Narnia is similar to Earth, but there are talking animals and other mythical creatures.  When they leave Narnia they get lost. How will they get home?  Trying to get home they briefly visit several other worlds and meet an evil witch named Jadis.  Do they make it home?  Read the book!

I recommend this to any one who likes fantasy.  If you like this book try the rest of the series (The Chronicles of Narnia).

When Digory and Polly wander into Digory's uncle's study he sends them to another world.  They find a magical world called Narnia, which has just been born from a lion's song.  Polly and Gidory need to go home, but before they do they have an encounter with the evil sorceress Jadis.

Digory and Polly meet and find they are quite a pair. They both love adventure! They find themselves in Narnia after encountering the evil sorceress, Jadis. Narnia is the most beautiful place anybody has ever seen. But this magical place has been invaded by Jadis and her team and is heading for trouble. The Magician's Nephew is part of a collection of stories called The Chronicles of Narnia. C.S. Lewis is an amazing author who fills the story with drama, humor and loads of adventure.  Read this book to find out what happens to wonderful Narnia.

This book is about a child whose uncle is a magician.   The magician does some very unusual magic.  He sends his nephew to a land with many lakes.  Once his nephew steps in the water,  it sends him on several journeys to other lands.  The nephew awakens the White Witch and he discovers Narnia.   He finds the lion named Aslan.  You will have to read this book to find out how  the legend of Narnia starts.  I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy.

I read The Magician’s Nephew, which is a book about a boy, Digory, whose uncle thinks himself to be a magician.

One day, Digory meets his neighbor, Polly, and they become good friends. Digory’s uncle sends them to an unknown place, and the children must find their way back to London on their own. Will they ever return home? Will they ever see their families again?

I think The Magician’s Nephew is a good book and an exciting one, too. You never know what is going to happen next. It was full of adventure and I can’t wait to read one of C. S. Lewis’s sequels to this book. I recommend The Magician’s Nephew to anyone who likes fantasy and magic.

Digory and Polly, 12 year old friends, have discovered a magical land called Narnia. In this land, talking beasts come to life and represent all good things.Evil was represented by the witch Jadis. Digory and Polly were sent on their flying horse, Strawberry, in a quest to bring food and posterity to this new land to help it become even better. But they run into the evil witch.

In the book, I liked how Digory had to solve a hard conflict: whether to go on the good side or the bad side. That’s how life is too. You have to listen to what God tells you to do through your heart. The Magician’s Nephew prepared me for what might happen in my future. It’s simple; I just have to listen.

That will prepare me for life. Just as Digory listened to Asland, I will always listen to my conscience before I do something.
