Matilda is an intelligent
girl who has dumb parents! On her first day of school she
meets the evil headmistress, Mrs. Trunchbull. Everyone in
school is depending on Matilda to get rid of her. Will Matilda's
nasty plot be good enough? To find out what happens to Matilda,
read Matilda.

This summer I read
the book Matilda which is about a girl with super
powers who has parents that don't care about her. She only
started school when she was 6 and could read a book by Dickens
by age 4. When Matilda finally does start school, she does
not want to go home afterward and have to face her parents,
so she gets very attached to her teacher who she goes to have
tea with every afternoon. One day when Matilda comes home
from school, she finds that a plane taking her whole family
to Spain will leave in an hour and she will never come back.
She has to made a decision; should she stay with her lonely
teacher or go with her unkind parents to Spain? This is a
very adventurous novel that I think any kid would like.

D. '11 This book is my favorite
of all my Super Readers books. It is about a young girl who
lives with her parents and brother. Matilda's parents don't
care about Matilda at all and neither does her brother. When
Matilda is still a toddler she comes across the newspaper.
Every morning, after her brother and her parents have left
for their days activities, Matilda gets reading!!! She will
do anything to get her hands on another book, even if she
has to walk three miles to the library to check out some of
the biggest books. But one day, Matilda asks her parents if
she may go to school and finally her parents say "yes"
and she has a wonderful teacher named Ms. Honey. Ms. Honey
adores children. But Matilda's head mistress, called the Trunchbowl,
is the scariest person on earth. The Trunchbowl swings girls
from their braids and throws children out the window or locks
them in a pointy place.
I really recommend this book for both
boys and girls because it is a wild adventure. Read about
how Matilda tries to stop the Trunchbowl!

Matilda
is very special. She has the power to move things with her eyes.
She goes to a not so fine school, but her teacher is very nice.
The worst thing is that she has a horrible principle named Ms.
Trunchbull. Ms. Trunchbull will do anything. She'll throw kids
around, turn them upside down and many other bad things.
Matilda's
parents could care less about her. All the attention goes
to her older brother. All the parents do is eat, watch TV,
and sit around and do nothing. Matilda's teacher, Ms. Honey,
had a dad but he died. Ms. Trunchbull is Ms. Honey's aunt.
When Ms. Honey's dad died Ms. Trunchbull took the house when
it was supposed to go Ms.
Honey.
See
what sneaky and funny things Matilda does with her special
power to help Ms. Honey get her house back. But if you want
to know what happens in the end you'll just have to read the
book!
I recommend this book to anyone, especially girls.

A young girl named Matilda has special powers. She
can lift items, open windows, and spill water with the power
of her eyes. Matilda is also very smart. Her parents,
who aren't very smart, don't realize her powers and just ignore
her. Mrs. Trunchbull, the principal at her school, is
very mean. Matilda is fortunate to have a wonderful
teacher, Ms. Honey, who loves Matilda and respects her powers.
Matilda will do anything to help Ms. Honey, even if it means
interfering with Mrs. Trunchbull Read this very
funny book to find out what happens to Matilda.

Matilda seems like a regular
five year old girl, but if you meet her, it's a whole other
story. Matilda's family pays no attention to her, but she likes
it that way. Her parents enroll her in a horrid school
with a principal who is so malicious and ignorant. She
locks people for hours in the choky, a long narrow hole in the
wall that has nails and glass all over it. Soon Matilda discovers
a hidden power in her brain, but you'll have to read this book
to find out how she uses this power. Spring 2002 |

Matilda is a little five year old girl who is very brilliant.
She is just beginning school. Her teacher's name is
Mrs. Honey and her friend's name is Lavender. Matilda
loves going to school, except the only thing that she hates
about it is her principal, Mrs.Trunchbull . Mrs. Trunchbull
is very mean to all the children.
One day Matilda notices that she has magic.
She helps people who are nice to her, but she does bad things
with her magic to the people who are mean to her. You will
have to read this book to find out if she helps Mrs Honey
or not.

The main character, Matilda, who is almost six,
is very smart. She finds out that she has magical powers and
that her teacher is the head mistress niece. The property
that the head mistress owns should be owned by Miss Honey,
Matildas kind teacher. Matilda tries to help Miss Honey
by getting the head mistress out of the house. Matilda scares
her with her magical powers, and the head mistress thinks
the house is haunted.
Matilda is a funny
book and it is good for people who like to read adventurous
fantasies.
