The Million Dollar Shot, by Dan Gutman, is a book about Eddie and Annie, who both love basketball.  In this story, Eddie wins a contest sponsored Finkle Food's.   Ironically, it is the same company that has recently fired Eddie's Mom.  If Eddie sinks a foul shot during halftime of the first game of the NBA finals, he will get 1 million dollars.  But George Finkle doesn't have 1 million dollars, so he tries to bribe Eddie.  Will it work? Will Eddie make the shot?

This is a great book.  I liked it so much that I've read it at least 5 times.  It is written by a great author, Dan Gutman, who has written many more of my favorite books.  This book is also good because it is about one of my favorite sports, basketball.

The Million Dollar Shot is an action packed book about a young boy named Eddie who lives in a trailer park. One day his mother gets fired and Eddie finds out he can win $1,000,000 from Finkle Foods (if he gets picked) by writing a poem! Later that day, he meets a girl named Annie who is really good at basketball and so is her dad. One week later, Eddie finds out he won! But, now he must make a foul shot at half time at a basketball game to actually win the money. Annie, her dad, Eddie, and his mother have gone so far for this contest, but realize that the owner of Findle Foods will go beyond reasonable measures to keep Eddie from making the shot. But, now it is half time. Will Eddie make the shot? Read this awesome book to find out!

The Million Dollar Shot is about a boy who lives in a trailer and enters a poetry contest. If he wins, he gets to go to Madison Square Garden for a chance to win a million dollars. The boy ends up winning the contest. Now, will he be able to make the shot under all the pressure?

I really recommend this book to people who like suspenseful stories and stories that give the reader a clear picture of what is going on.
