One Day In the Tropical Rainforest by Jean Craighead George is an informational book full of many facts about the rainforest, but I found the book boring. It mostly describes the journey of a boy and a scientist who is trying to catch a nameless butterfly in order to save the rain forest. I think it is not believable because the main character and a scientist climbed the biggest tree in the Macaw Rainforest in 20 minutes. Also he saved the Rainforest from being cut down in one day with one butterfly.

I wouldn't recommend this book to people for leisure reading, only to people who are looking for some Tropical Rainforest facts.

Happy Reading to you all!

Take a trip to the jungle with a young boy, Tepui, and his friend, a lepidopterist, Dr. Rivero. You will get a lot of information on animals such as army ants, jaguars and macaws as Tepui and Dr. Rivero set out on a walk through the rain forest. When they walk, they are looking for a nameless butterfly so Dr. Rivero can name it after his daughter. He also hopes to save the rain forest from deforestation. Tepui and Dr. Rivero don’t have forever to find their butterfly; they must find it in one day since eleven bulldozers and four trucks are entering the rain forest to log.

Read One Day in the Tropical Rain to find out the exciting ending to this story.
