Protecting Marie is about a middle shool girl named Fran and her dog, Dinner.
Fran must fight to keep Dinner. Her father takes Dinner away because he needs quiet time
in his studio, and the dog interrupts him. I like the way the author describes the
characters and makes the story seem real. Read the book to find out if Fran can keep her
