Shiloh is a sad and depressing book when you look at it the way I did when I read it. It is about a little boy who wants a hunter’s dog. The hunter treats the dog with great disrespect. The boy finds the dog under a bridge named Shiloh so that is what he calls him. The boy goes through a lot of hard times with Shiloh, but in the end he manages to keep him. Shiloh gets hurt and lost but luckily the boy finds him. The hunter makes the boy work all day long, 7 days a week to earn the dog.

Shiloh is about a boy, Marty, who finds a beagle near the old Shiloh Schoolhouse. After Marty finds Shiloh, he doesn't want to give him up. The next day, a man named Judd Travers asks everybody in town if they have seen his dog, a beagle. Marty does not like Judd Travers because he does not treat his dogs properly. For example, Marty once went on Travers’ property and saw a dog with a bullet in its head

. Is the beagle Judd Travers’ dog? How will Marty be able to keep it, if it is?

Shiloh is about a dog named Shiloh and a boy named Marty. One day Shiloh follows Marty home. Marty and Shiloh become very good friends. Marty knows that Shiloh’s owner, Judd Travers, wants Shiloh back. The problem is Judd is treating Shiloh badly, so Marty wants to save Shiloh by not giving him back to Judd. You will have to read the book to find out if Marty can save Shiloh from Judd.
