The Trial of Anna Cotman is about a girl who moves to a new town and is very unhappy because of the people there. She "makes friends" with a girl named Lindy. Lindy is a very snobbish sort of a girl who doesn’t have any friends that like her because she is so mean. Lindy leads Anna to a place called The Hall of Secrets. She joins a group of people called "SOM". SOM stands for Society of Masks. There are lords in the group and the main lord is Goldmaster. Anna takes an oath to not tell anyone about SOM or to be able to resign from SOM. Anna doesn’t like SOM. What will she do to get out the group? Read the book to find out.
