| Reviewer: Stephanie A. 08 The earthquake a few weeks ago has left Winding circle vulnerable for
pirate attack. So every mageincluding the four young mages Tris, Daja, Sandry and
Briar-is working with their magic to help the communitys defenses. When Triss
cousin Aymery arrives he tells her that she should go home to the family that exiled her.
But Tris refuses to leave her friends to fight the pirates on their own. When the war
begins two things become very clear: the pirates have a new weapon and they have an
accomplice inside Winding Circle. But the attackers have failed to reckon with the anger
of a young mage who has been betrayed one too many times, and her very loyal, very
stubborn friends. |

| This
is the second ook in a series. In Triss Book the familiar character are
Tris, Sandry, Daja and Brier, young children who are mages. A mage is a talented person
who posses magic. In this story, the four children help fight off pirates who are coming
to attack Winding Circle, where they live. I thought the book was exciting and a
pleasure to read.
