This story is the companion to The
Face on the Milk Carton. If you have not read the Face
on the Milk Carton it is about a girl named Janie who figures
out she had been kidnapped when she was three. In the book Whatever
Happened to Janie she is now a teenager living with
her real family, the Springs, where she is called Jennie
Spring because that is her birth name. She does not adjust very
well so she goes back to the parents she lived with from the age of
three. Two of the Spring children can't live without
trying to find their sister's kidnapper, so they go off to New York
City to try to find her. This is a
wonderful story that has parts in it that really make you feel sorry
for the Springs but in some cases feel sorry for Janie.
