Students will be creating a digital poster in order to explain an aspect of life in ancient Rome. Topics have been chosen by the students themselves and will cover a broad range of issues. In the poster, students are to utilize a minimum of 5 pictures, and use captions and script to articulate the meaning behind the pictures and provide specific information about life back then. Each student should develop a specific expertise, and be able to use their poster as a tool in presenting their topic to the rest of the class.

In the Ancient Rome folder in curricular projects, create a folder with your name to hold your work. In this folder sill be saved your written text, your facts, a Dreamweaver page to post your finished poster, an icon folder to hold your finished poster as a gif file, a raw folder to hold all your downloaded images and your poster in .png format.

You will spend five days in the MS Calc to research information and design you poster using Macromedia Fireworks.

You will be learning the nuts and bolts of digital poster-building from Mrs. Siwinski, and can begin to set up your page.

Your poster will consist of the digital images you have collected and written captions to explain your topic. I would suggest 4 or 5 images, with accompanying captions to explain either the image or different aspects of your topic.
