Linguistic:
To study one aspect of Martiniquaise culture in depth. To use the target language to describe the topic orally and in print.Technological:
To learn to scan and place pictures in appropriate
format. To learn to work with Fireworks.
To demonstrate what you have learned about the tropical island of Martinique, you are going to design a travel poster, using the fireworks application, which advertises one aspect of Martiniquaise culture. Possible topics include people, language, events, products, cuisine, tourist attractions, history, markets, daily life, music, and activities. Your poster will have six captioned illustrations or photos, with at least three sentences in French describing each one. These illustrations may be photos from Internet sites (try clipart.com, google, scanned photos from books or postcards, etc.) No English may appear on your poster. Please keep track of all sources you use.
This project will help you, your classmates, and students who will study Martinique in the future appreciate the beauty and diversity of this special francophone island, and, perhaps, entice others to visit it because of your beautiful travel posters. We hope you will enjoy creating this learning tool for others.
