Eighth grade students review reflexive verbs and expand their vocabulary of daily routines in Chapter 3 of the textbook, ÁVen Conmigo! Level 2.  In order to practice this material, they will create a digital story featuring a cartoon character.  They will draw a minimum of six pictures representing activities on a typical day in the life of their character, write a script with a minimum of three sentences describing each picture, record their voices over the pictures, and add a music soundtrack.  Each iMovie will have a title and credits in Spanish.

1.    The task will be explained to the students, and as a homework assignment, they will create their character and draw the six required pictures. They will storyboard their story including placement of images, script, transitions, sound effects, title and credits.

2.    Students will meet four times in the CALC.  The first time they will receive an iMovie tutorial.  The second time they will scan their pictures, create their movie project, import their scanned images, begin to edit, create their title and credits slide.  The third time they will continue editing their movie, add voiceovers, create transitions, applied Ken Burn's effect, and add music soundtrack.  The fourth time they will add a voiceover or a musical soundtrack and complete their project.

3.    Projects will be downloaded to a digital video camera and copied onto a VHS tape.

4.    The taped projects will be viewed in class.
