The point of this experiment is to find out the amount of Chlorine
and pH that are in the GA water fountains. The experiment needed
to have water testing chemical solution kit. Also it needed to
use five water fountains in the GA middle school. The two chemical
solutions were pH and Chlorine. First get the water from the water
fountain. Second test the water fountain for certain amount of
chemicals with the test kit. The test kit checked in the thousand
and not the millions that kind of missed up the project cause
it is harder to tell what the amount was. Test the water five
times for each water fountain and chemical solution.
The average amount of Chlorine in for all the five water fountains
was one tenth. The average amount of pH in all the five water
fountains was 7 and six tenths. After doing the experiment the
hypothesis was half right and half wrong the pH came out to an
ideal amount in the water fountain but the Chlorine did not. There
were some difficulties like trial 2.3 had to be done over. This
project should help out a lot of people if they take the time
to read it. Sanyog R.
