The purpose of this experiment was to see which type of paper towel is most absorbent. To perform this experiment 3 materials were used. First a beaker filled with 200mL of water per test. Second, four types of paper towel that were Bounty, Brawny, Sparkle, and the Generic Brand. After the beaker was filled, a brand of paper towel was soaked in the water for an elapsed time of a minute. After the minute, the paper towel was taken out of the water so that the excess water could be dripped out. The leftover water would be measured. This process was repeated nine times with one brand of paper towel. Then different brands would be switched so that each band would be used 10 times.
After this experiment was completed, it was found that Bounty was the most absorbent. Brawny was second and Sparkle was third. The Generic Brand was the least absorbent of all.
