The purpose
of this experiment was to see which shampoo would make the hair
the strongest out of selected shampoos. This experiment started
when the hair was washed for three straight days in a row with
the Aussie shampoo. After the three days of consecutive washing
was done, and before beginning to wash for 3 more consecutive
days with the Pantene Pro-V shampoo, three strands of hair, from
the back of the head, were pulled. These three strands of hair
were taken and one end was taped to the table with the other end
left hanging. The other end of the hair was looped up and taped
to the table as well. Paper clips were constantly added until
the hair snapped. After doing this process with Aussie shampoo,
the whole process was repeated with
Pantene Pro-V shampoo, Neutrogena shampoo, Bath & Body Works
shampoo, and finally CVS brand shampoo. The Pantene Pro-V shampoo
was proven to hold the averaged most amount of weight (387 grams).
Neutrogena was second in line being able to hold an average of
310 grams. Next came the Bath & Body Works shampoo being able
to hold an average weight of 305 grams. Aussie was ranked just
above the shampoo that proved to be the weakest with an average
of 287 grams. CVS was proved to not strengthen the hair nearly
as much as the other shampoos with an average of 218 grams, and
therefore did nothing to the needs of strengthening hair and the
Pantene Pro-V was proved to strengthen the hair the best.
