ABSTRACT
The purpose of this experiment was to
find out the
percent of home games won compared to
the percent of
away games won between the men's and
women's divisions
I-III lacrosse teams. The way one would
go about doing this
was simply going oneach colleges web
site and searching
for their 98-99 season results. Then
that person would print
out the results and find the average
amount of home games
won and the average of away games won.
After this that
person would graph them. In doing this
they would find
that 78% of the men's DI-DIII home games
were won and
65% of their away games were won. 59%
of the women's
DI-DIII home games were won and 58%
of their away
games were won. That proves that the
hypothesis was
correct in saying that the home field
advantage is true
among college lacrosse.
