The purpose of this projet was to find out which popcorn company pops the most butter kernels in a bag. The four companies that were tested were Pop Secret, Orville Redenbacher, Best Yet, and Newman's popcorn company.

The procedure that was used was to first take the popcorn bag and place it into the microwave. Then on the microwave press "popcorn setting." After the bag has popped pur the popcorn onto a metal tray. Then count the corn that has been fully popped. Tehn write the numbers down, and take the two numbers and divide the number of popcorn all together by the number that has been fully popped! This will give you the percentage of popcorn that has been popped. Then you would repeat the procedure for each different type of popcorn company.

The popcorn company that popped the most popcorn was Newman's Popcorn with an average of 95.8% of popcorn popped. The company that came in second was Orville Redenbacher averaged 94% of popcorn popped, Best Yet popped 91% of popcorn. In last place Pop Secret popped 88.6%. These results were an average percentage of the popcorn popped.
