The purpose of this experiment was to determine which brand of milk has the slowest growth rate of bacteria. In order to perform this experiment 4 glass containers where sterilized and then labeled with a different brand of milk. Then 500ml of milk was poured into each container. Next the containers were loosely covered with plastic wrap and kept at room temperature for 48 hours. The contents of the milk was stirred and the changes were recorded every 4 hours. The pH levels were also noted every 4 hours. Finally the experiment was run again.

After the experiment was completed the first time, WaWa came in first place for the slowest growth rate of bacteria, followed by Rosenburgs, Clemens, and then America's Choice. The second time Clemens came in first, then Rosenburgs and WaWa who were tied, and then Americ'a Choice.
