Fiestas 2001

Carnaval February 23, 2001

Spanish 3 students joined in a celebration of Carnaval, on February 23, 2001. Working in groups of four, students prepared dishes from the recipes they found on the Internet. Each group chose a main course and either an appetizer or a dessert ot prepare for the luncheon.

 

 Students prepared typical foods from Spain Argentina, Costa Rica and Mexico.

 

  Everyone sampled paella, arroz con pollo and tortilla española

 

Students also tasted frijoles and chilaquiles.

There was an outstanding array of flans, arroz con leche, dulce de leche and other desserts .
   

 Working in groups of two or three, students prepared dishes from the recipes they found.
