To gain valuable insights into the culture, civilization, and history of France, French 2H students will research a topic selected form the list below. They will write a 1 – 2 page paper with bibliography, create a PowerPoint presentation with effective use of visuals, graphics and text, and deliver a formal presentation of their work in French to their classmates.

 
  1. Students will choose to research the following topics:
  2. Students will create a personal folder in the Civilisation folder on the GA filer, Curricular Projects area to which they will save all their written work as well as any illustrations they plan to use along with all corresponding website addresses.
  3. They will write a 1 – 2 page paper in French which will summarize their research in a clear, comprehensive and well organized fashion. They must include a bibliography following the MLA guidelines.
  4. Students will then create a PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 10 slides. The presentation will include summary points of the topic researched, interesting and appropriate visuals with hyperlinks to the Internet site visited, and a hot bibliography.
  5. Students will give an oral presentation of their topic in class. They should use their slides as note cards to help them explain their topic but may not read from them.
  6. All photos, maps, illustrations, and other visuals should enhance the presentation and compliment the topic.
