Before you attempt to scan
Make sure the scanner is turned on before you turn on the
computer. If the computer is on and the scanner light is out then
shut down the computer, turn on the scanner and then reboot the
computer.
To Scan
- Open Desk Scan II - this you will find on the launcher
window or on the hard drive.
- Place your photograph on the scanner bed aligned
with the top left corner.
- From the "File" menu, select "Acquire."
Your photo is now visible on the right side of the dialogue box.
- Select the type of image you are scanning under Color
Photo: 256 colors, Black & White, Color, Sharp Color,
etc.
- To crop the photo:
- Use the mouse to select the section of the photo which
you would like to keep.
- This gives you the possibility to cut out any section of
the photo which you don't want.
- You must select a target size for the image: (default
is 100%)
- Always scan to your needed size. Never leave the physical
size large than you need because this will create a large file(memory)
size.
- Move the size indicator to the desired percent to change
the physical size.
- To save the photo:
- Select Scan on the bottom right of the scan dialogue
box.
- The scanned object will appear in a little window on the
left of the screen.
- From the "File" menu select "Export."
Click desktop. Open the server, Open your account folder.
- Select type JPG and name your file with the extension
JPG (e.g. photo.JPG

To Scan a Second Photo
- Place your photograph on the scanner bed aligned with the
top left corner.
- Click on Preview button on the bottom right of the
scan dialogue box.
- Your photo is now visible on the right side of the dialogue
box.
- Proceed with step four above.
