Art education is crucial to students in PreK through 12th Grade. Whether building Alexander Calder-inspired circus sculptures in Kindergarten, discovering that you love playing the drums no matter what the genre, or passionately embracing your inner ogre in "Shrek the Musical," GA students have the opportunity to create something that is wholly their own.
No matter if you grow up to be an artist or an engineer, art class teaches creativity, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. At a time when some school districts are scaling back their art programs, GA invests even more in the arts, recognizing their importance in a well-rounded education.

From first performances in Lower School to acclaimed productions through the historic Belfry Theatre Club, theatre inspires students to find their voice, build confidence, and connect with others. They are always encouraged to explore their creativity, collaborate with peers, and grow as performers and leaders in a vibrant, supportive community.
Visual Arts
The visual art departments embrace the knowledge that creativity takes shape at every age. Students begin by exploring a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, then grow into confident creators through projects that challenge them to think, design, and build. From painting and sculpture to digital media and photography, students are encouraged to take creative risks, develop their unique artistic voice, and bring their ideas to life.
music
The music curriculum at GA is filled with the sounds of students who love connecting through classical, jazz, and even classic rock. In every division, students are able to take part in choir, band, and strings, discovering that collaboration brings each piece to life. Along the way, they build skills and a strong sense of community that makes performing together truly rewarding.
