Theatre
Theatre and performing are essential parts of the student experience from PreK through 12th Grade. Students build confidence and creativity through performances in Lower School, expand their involvement with musicals and plays in Middle School, and explore a wide range of opportunities through the historical and award-winning Belfry Theatre Club in Upper School. Students develop their talents, confidently express themselves, and become part of a vibrant, supportive theatre community.
MIDDLE SCHOOL THEATRE
The Middle School drama program kicks off with a smaller fall play, the perfect place for students to “get their feet wet” and explore genres ranging from mystery and comedy to even a little Shakespeare. By spring, students are ready to dive into the excitement of the full musical experience, both onstage and behind the scenes.
The Belfry Theatre Club - Upper School
The Belfry Theatre Club, the heart of Upper School Performing Arts, is the oldest, continuous high school theatre club in the country (founded in 1894) . Its long-standing tradition fosters a welcoming community where students of all interests and talents can find their passion, whether onstage in musicals and plays or behind the scenes in playwriting, directing, and technical theatre.

Technical Theatre & Design
Technical Theatre is where artistry meets craftsmanship. From designing full sets to welding, carpentry, and scenic painting, students transform ideas into fully realized worlds that transport audiences through time and place.
Live Performances
Each year, Belfry stages a fall play and a spring musical. Students involved in athletics, music, and academics frequently take part in (or star in!) the show. This award-winning theatre club performs for the GA community and the public.
