GA Wins Three Awards at State Science Competition

Kevin Hui '21 and Emily Wang '21 each took first place in their categories (computer science, engineering) at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) State Competition, which was held from May 19-21 at Penn State University's main campus. Wang also had a perfect score. Sarah Rojas '21 took second place in the microbiology category.

Approximately 3,000 of the best and brightest science students from Pennsylvania’s 12 separate PJAS regions descend upon State College each May to present their research.

Back in February, five GA students won awards at the local PJAS Region 1B competition.
