Our Moment – The Campaign for a Stronger GA was a historic, community-wide effort that raised $30.1 million to strengthen Germantown Academy for generations to come. Guided by two ambitious priorities, the campaign secured $19.6 million for the endowment, establishing 47 new endowed funds to expand financial aid, support faculty, and invest in innovative programs, and raised $10.5 million to create the transformative Health & Wellness Center. Made possible by the generosity of 552 alumni, families, and friends, Our Moment reinforces GA's enduring commitment to educational excellence, student well-being, and the long-term strength of the Academy.

The Health & Wellness Center

Opened in fall 2023, the Health & Wellness Center has become a vibrant hub of GA’s campus. Designed to promote the essential connection between physical, social, and emotional well-being, the Center brings together fitness, athletics, health services, and community gathering spaces under one roof. Home to the Jordan Center, Live Well Lobby, Hall of Athletic Achievement, Patriot Café, Health Services Suite, and multipurpose wellness spaces, it serves students, faculty, families, alumni, and guests every day. More than a building, it is a lasting investment in the health, connection, and vitality of the entire GA community.

The Power of Endowment

The Our Moment campaign strengthened GA's future through a historic investment in endowment. The creation of 47 new endowed funds—including 32 supporting financial aid, 10 dedicated to faculty compensation and professional development, and five advancing programmatic priorities—will provide permanent support for the people and programs that define the GA experience. These enduring investments expand access for talented students, empower exceptional educators, and ensure that the Academy remains innovative, financially strong, and mission-driven for generations to come.

 In recognition of the culmination of 26 years as Head of School, James W. Connor 1760 ended his tenure by fulfilling a few capital promises to assure that GA’s students are engaged in a full school day that does not end at 3pm. These featured a new annex to the Field House (including Fenerty and Retif Basketball Courts), multi-purpose next-turf fields which will host Middle School baseball games and practice in the spring and girls soccer competitions in the fall, and the Beard Center for Innovation highlighted by a full maker space and innovation laboratory.

In conjunction with, and in celebration of, our school’s 250th year the entire GA community rallied in support of key campus initiatives that resulted in the creation of The Preserve (wet meadow and arboretum), Alter Middle School and McNeil Upper School, renovations to the Administration Building and Dining Hall, fully restructured outdoor athletic field and Carey Stadium complex, and an upgraded Lower School playground.
